[He's made his way to the food court, but this is a lot of choices for somebody who's not very used to making them.

He does eventually spot Date-]

Are these restaurants?

[ he is literally looking at a sign that says "AppleBapples" you tell him kid. ]

I think they had dreams of being restaurants once.

[They did not load any data about Applebee's into his little artificial head.]

So if they're not restaurants, what are they?

[ lucky him. not that date knows what an applebees is either. ]

They look like knock off names. Like-- [ he points at McNaldos. ] Pretty sure that's meant to be McD*nalds.

Week 0: Friday

[He's sat at the food court again, unsure of what to do next. The ability to talk to the personal demons seems like it's been cut off.

[Unsure what to do about it now though.]

[ y'know what? normally he'd avocate for getting seriously drunk after what just happened there. like a terrible coping mechanism.

but when confronted with this kid, it feels like it would be some kind of crime. a hell crime? to give him alcohol. so date is just stood here awkwardly holding a bottle of flavoured vodka like he doesn't know what to do with it now.

I'm having a moral argument with [ ... ] myself about whether or not I give alchohol to someone who told me themselves they were born just before arriving here.

[ into the void post cyoa. except the void has a sofa, which is where date is sat. he's looking directly at the opposite wall. ]

Cool, so that's something else we need to be paranoid about happening again.

[ there's silence for a moment, and then he tilts his head. ]

It'll happen again. Call it a gut feeling. Nothing here's meant to be easy.

It is hell... It seems like a place where everything is meant to be terrible.

[But it's still better than his previous life. So there is that.]

Nameless doesn't have a job yet, so he can be found milling about the city.

And so can a screen. He doesn't really seem too bothered about it. After dying twice, it's like, well. That sure did happen to me.]
